What’s happened to me in the past month?
- I left the Big Blue and am now with a non-outsourcing company.
- I joined the big 3-0 bandwagon.
- I finished a ton of books, mostly chick lit.
The ones that made their mark were books by Madeleine Wickham. I just started Daniel Abraham’s 3rd, Autumn War. Asked JE to get it for me from Kinokuniya when he went to SG.
- Typhoon Ketsana (Ondoy) slammed into the Philippines last weekend. We got stranded at Ian’s and I left a window open at the condo. This will probably get its own post.
- Got my very first pair of Maco Custodio shoes – the Van Booties from his Holiday 2009 collection. Support our Filipino designers!
Why does it still visit me at times? Why does it feel so cold all of a sudden? What am I still looking for? What else is there?
Le sigh.
I have a _lot_ to be thankful for this year. First, I’m finally out of school! Thank the academic gods for the honors! It’s finally over. When I look back at the early days, when I would cry when my SSD3 (aka Advanced Object Oriented Programming aka Advanced Java) programs wouldn’t compile properly, I just can’t help but laugh at myself. I seriously considered quitting CS hahaha! Thank the gods I didn’t, or else I wouldn’t be at IBM right now.
And to segue, thank you for my job. I love my job. It’s challenging, sometimes frustrating, sometimes stressful and nerve-wracking, but I love it. I love my Manager – he’s very supportive and techie. I want to pattern my career after his. I love my Teammates, both TB and SWG, and I look forward getting to know them better, knowing their quirks and habits so that I could work better with them. I love this company, and the benefits I’m getting. I think I’ll be here for a long, loooong time. 
I’m thankful for my pRO Fenrir guild, Alarius Eversor. Thank you, my Kuyate Saber, for welcoming me into the guild and adopting me as your baby seester. Thank you to my AE family: Mark, Borgs and Steph, Sofia and Reeky, Aj and Zel, Laryll, Tadi, Eka, Sam – the twisted family tree! Salamat sa lahat ng tambay natin sa Geffen, at sa lahat ng kalokohan at katatawanan! My happiest and craziest times online have been with AE. The best siege ever – 18 agits! – was with AE. Only AE was crazily smart enough to attempt such a task! Thank you for the best ride ever in my RO life!
And of course, there’s Mik. Thank you, AE, for bringing us together. Thank you for the best boyfriend in the world. Ever. Mik ko, you are such an amazingly beautiful person, thank you for loving me the way you do. Thank you for making me sublimely happy.

I just bought 15 credits on wordpress.com. Lol. Now I have to decide whether to use my 15 credits in mapping a domain, or in purchasing custom CSS rights. Hmmm. Bahala na.
